Sabre San Marcos ramps up for new business

Apr 27, 2017

As Austin’s population boom spreads south, Sabre Commercial’s office in San Marcos is well positioned to attract new business. According to an October 2016 Forbes article, the I-35 corridor between Austin and San Antonio is experiencing the fastest growth in the country. In fact, the article singles out San Marcos as “attracting residents and creating jobs at remarkable rates.”

“We’re excited to expand the reach of our south office,” said Mark McDonald, executive in charge of the satellite office. “We have our eye on a number of prospective projects, and are starting to staff up and look for more high-quality subs to work with.”

Jon Barton will lead the San Marcos team, developing business and a network of subcontractors in the San Marcos, New Braunfels and San Antonio region. Bob Fritsch will provide preconstruction and estimating support, and Marlena McKee will serve as project engineer. The group will draw from a pool of Sabre superintendents who live south of Austin.

New projects led by Sabre San Marcos include the Christus medical office buildings in New Braunfels, the Sadler 2 office building, and Greater San Marcos Partnership’s corporate office.
