This Veteran’s Affairs project consisted of a comprehensive first-generation tenant improvement build-out for a new Financial Services Center at the MetCenter. We served as General Contractor, overseeing the complete installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems, along with interior construction and exterior site enhancements. The work included above-floor HVAC distribution and ventilation, full branch power and lighting systems and restroom plumbing with new partitions and fixtures. DIRTT wall systems were installed to create enclosed offices and workspaces throughout the facility, complemented by interior window tinting and integrated access control systems to support secure operations.
Exterior improvements included construction of a new rear parking lot, guard check station and the installation of electronic security arms and an electrified perimeter fence to meet stringent VA security requirements. The project also included installation and maintenance of rooftop units (RTUs) and the procurement of a gas-powered backup generator to ensure uninterrupted facility operations. Meticulous coordination among MEP and interior trades was critical to achieving design intent, operational efficiency and compliance with the VA’s performance and security standards.
